The story of Mr. Jatinder, Founder & CEO of Gurudrone Agritech Pvt. Ltd., is rooted in his deep connection with the farming community and his desire to bring meaningful technological change to Indian agriculture. As an Agriculture B.Tech graduate, he began his career as aRural Development Officer (RDO), a role that placed him directly in the fields with farmers, observing their struggles, limitations, and day-to-day challenges. Over time, he realized that farmers were increasingly facing labour shortages, unpredictable spraying cycles, and poor-quality crop protection due to outdated methods. Despite working within the system, he felt that the solutions farmers needed were far more advanced and urgent than what traditional frameworks could offer., a role that placed him directly in the fields with farmers, observing their struggles, limitations, and day-to-day challenges. Over time, he realized that farmers were increasingly facing labour shortages, unpredictable spraying cycles, and poor-quality crop protection due to outdated methods. Despite working within the system, he felt that the solutions farmers needed were far more advanced and urgent than what traditional frameworks could offer.
​Driven by this strong conviction, he made a bold and life-changing decision—he resigned from his stable and well-respected government job to build something transformative for the agriculture sector. In 2022, during his search for innovative tools, he encountered modern agricultural drone technology. A demo from Iotech, a leading OEM, became a turning point. He immediately recognized the potential of drones to deliver precise spraying, reduce farmer dependency on labour, minimize chemical exposure, and ensure timely crop treatment. This vision laid the foundation for Gurudrone.

​Starting from scratch, he purchased the first drone under the AIF scheme and began conducting village-to-village demonstrations. Despite early challenges such as low farmer interest, operational inexperience, and financial setbacks from crashes, he remained determined. His persistence was rewarded in 2023 when Gurudrone secured its first major 300-acre spraying project—marking the company’s breakthrough moment. Under his leadership, Gurudrone expanded partnerships, trained rural youth as pilots, established professional offices, set up service centers, and built a strong VLE network across several states.
